The transition to ISO 14001:2026 introduces key updates focused on climate resilience, biodiversity, and life cycle thinking and Core Areas of the 2026 Revision;
- Climate Change Integration: Explicit requirements for organizations to determine if climate change is a relevant issue for their Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Biodiversity & Ecosystems: Enhanced focus on how an organization’s activities impact and are impacted by biodiversity.
- Life Cycle Thinking: Strengthening controls over products and services from raw material acquisition to final disposal.
- Risk & Resilience: A more robust approach to environmental risks and organizational resilience in a changing global landscape.
INSTRUCTIONS
- This examination consists of 20 questions divided into three sections.
- Section A: Multiple Choice Questions (Q1–Q10) — 3 marks each — Total: 30 marks
- Section B: True or False Questions (Q11–Q15) — 4 marks each — Total: 20 marks
- Section C: Subjective Questions (Q16–Q20) — 10 marks each — Total: 50 marks
- For Section A, select ONE correct answer (A, B, C, or D).
- For Section B, state True or False and provide a brief justification where the answer is False.
- For Section C, provide detailed written answers with reference to specific clause numbers.
- This is an open-book examination. Reference to ISO/ 14001:2026 is permitted.
